Civil Rights Movement Resources
This book was another fantastic resource which I brought into my classroom during this unit/project.
Every unit we did, no matter the topic/theme, I raided the campus library, libraries of other schools in the district (with the wonderful support of our librarian), then brought in many books from the local public library and the nearby university library. Even though you have the Internet, flood your classroom with fabulous books every time you do a project! Don't have time to scour libraries? Ask for help! Parents, other teachers - you will be amazed at the resources that will come to you and enrich the experience! Click image to left for information about this book or to order it on Amazon. |
"People Get Ready" - Music and the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950's and 1960's
The History Channel has many excellent resources on the Civil Rights Movement - articles, videos, pictures and speeches.
I am still working on this page - much more to come!
