Cowboy Culture
When we think in terms of various "cultures" most of us probably do not think in terms of "cowboy culture", but it is a culture, and a fascinating one to study. Cowboy Culture is easily an excellent theme for a PBL unit - a wonderful way to engage students and an excellent vehicle for developing 21st century skills, the Multiple Literacies for the 21st Century, and your state/national standards!
This page is being developed and will have many ideas for lessons, activities, meaningful collaboration among the disciplines and real world connections, including possibilities for Global Collaborative Classrooms!
As you may know, we have one or two workshops, or institutes, in San Antonio, Texas each year - usually one in the summer, and again in December. We do this because the San Antonio Riverwalk is a spectacular location, offering very different experiences from July to December!
